Milk for shcools folding competition.

On Sunday 23rd of November Mum and I had an amazing chance to go on a free trip to Auckland for a milk for schools folding competition. I was the fastest milk carton folder in Southland and this was against all the other region winners.

Mum and I flew up to Auckland and as soon as we got off that plane we headed straight for Rainbows End. We hired a locker for a our bags and went straight to the roller coaster. In the end we had gone on it nine times.

Afterwards we picked up dinner at the Manukau mall and checked in to our four and a half star motel. We each dot our own king sized bed and a huge flat screen TV. After a good nights sleep some Fonterra staff came and took us to a breakfast buffet.

We hopped in a bus and picked up all the other contestants and then we headed over to a local dairy farm. When we got off the bus we were welcomed by the farmer and a lot of other fonterra staff. We had morning tea and practiced for the real deal.

Once we had settled down at the table they showed us a video from Ritchie McCaw since he couldn't be there because he was still in Whales. They showed all our entry videos but this made me so much more nervous because everyone was so fast!

It was now time for the real competition. We all lined up at the table while the photographers and video cameras got ready. ON YOUR MARKS... GET SET...GO! I heard my Mum cheering and I folded as fast as I could! But then it ripped! I didn't get too upset though because I still had two more attempts. I came second in my next attempt and third in my last attempt wasnt anough to make it to the final. We watched the final and in the end a boy named Bailey won a trophy and a vidoe with ritchie mcCaw.

Mum and I went back to the airport, and flew back to Dunedien and over all I really enjoyed my experience.
